Simpson students entertain with fall opera performance

The Simpson College Music Department presented the fall opera on Oct. 20-22.
The cast, directed by Professor of Music Robert L. Larsen, presented two operas by Puccini, "Sister Angelica" and "Gianni Schicchi."
Both presented different views of the opera spectrum. "Sister Angelica" was a tragedy while "Gianni Schicchi" was a comedy.
The two one-act operas were adaptations from an original 1918 work by Puccini.
