Wrestling

IIAC Championships @ Wartburg, Feb. 21: Placed eighth at the IIAC Championships with 53.5 points. Wartburg and Coe placed first and second respectively.

Men's Track and Field

UNI Dome Open, Feb. 23: no team scores. Sophomore Eric Patten placed second in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:55.49. Sophomore Wardell Watkins placed second in the triple jump with a distance of 13.26 meters. Senior Robert Best placed first in the shot put with a distance of 15.46m.

Women's Track and Field

UNI Dome Open, Feb. 23: no team scores. Freshman Catie Ellingson placed first in the 800 with a time of 2:16.92. Sophomore Jess Christensen finished second in the 3000 with a time of 10: 42.84. Simpson placed second in the 1600-meter relay with a time of 4:05.04.

Men's Tennis (0-5, 0-2 IIAC)

L 9-0 @ Central, Feb. 23.

L 8-1 vs. Carroll College (Wis.) @ Central, Feb. 23.

Men's Basketball (7-18, 4-12 IIAC)

L 69-59 @ Coe, Feb. 20: Sophomore Tim Dunlavy led the way for the Storm again, tallying 17 points and nine rebounds. Freshman Dave Johnson also gave a solid performance by scoring 14 points.

W 72-65 vs. Cornell, Feb 23: Sophomore Andrew Dau was the high scorer for the Storm with a 14 point, six rebound effort against the Rams. Dunlavy contributed another 12 points and seven rebounds. Junior David Ferezy turned in a strong performance with eight points, eight rebounds and nine blocked shots as the Storm closed out their season with a win.

Women's Basketball (23-2, 15-1 IIAC)

W 86-79 @ Coe, Feb. 20: Junior Whitney Franker was the high scorer for the Storm with 21 points. Franker also pulled down 10 rebounds. Senior Katelyn Whiton notched 20 points and nine rebounds, while senior Ashley Katch had nine rebounds and three blocked shots. 40 of Simpson's 86 points came from inside the paint.

W 83-53 vs. Cornell, Feb. 23: Junior Maria Oliver was the high scorer for the Storm with 13 points, and pulled down six rebounds as well. Junior Carrie Larson scored 12 points. Katch tallied seven points, 11 rebounds and swatted away eight shots, as the Storm women won their regular season finale.
